Specialty clothes hangers make a huge difference when it comes to saving space with hangers. <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Wooden Hangers">Wooden hangers are the sturdiest clothes hanger you can buy.

The biggest problem in most closets is storage space. From sports equipment to socks that you haven’t found the mate for yet, there are endless things around the home that don’t have anywhere else to go but your closet. You need some solutions. Use these tips for making the most of the little space that you have.

First, get some specialty hangers. Little things like belts, hats, and scarves don’t seem to take up much space. However, when you put them all together, they do actually take up room. Even worse, if they’re disorganized, they can make your entire closet look disorderly and cluttered. Specialty hangers give you a specific place to put all of these little things. They also help to save on space, because instead of each of these things taking up shelf, drawer, or basket space, they simply hang on the bar. All of your belts, scarves, and hats can take up as little as three inches of hanging space when you use specialty hangers.

Cascading hangers are also great space savers. You can get special cascading pants hangers and skirt hangers that allow you to hang multiple like items on one hanger. If you don’t like digging underneath the pants to pull out the ones that you want, consider getting one that is hinged at the top. You simply lift up the bottom and all of the pants or skirts will hang freely apart from each other. This little detail helps you to not pull pants and skirts off onto the floor or wrinkle them trying to get them off of the hanger.

Your clothes hangers can have a big impact on your space as well. Flat hangers are great for saving space, but they can be flimsy, causing your clothes to end up crumpled on the floor. When the hooks get all tangled up and the clothes get smashed together, the space that you saved seems to not be worth the effort. This is why we recommend wooden hangers made to save space. You can buy flat <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Wood Hangers">wood hangers that keep your clothes very slightly separated. They save space, but are designed not to cross up on the bar and they are definitely sturdier than plastic or wire hangers.

Specialty hangers, cascading hangers, and space saving wooden hangers are available in all sorts of styles and colors that will suit your needs. You’ll be amazed at how much better your closet looks when your clothes hangers all match. A good clothes hanger will be sturdy, beautiful, and free of sharp edges that can snag and rip clothing. <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Wooden Hangers">Wooden hangers are definitely the hangers of choice when it comes to saving space and organizing your closet.

Almost everyone has struggled with a bulging closet. Closets are notorious for becoming cram packed with too much junk. They become a quick hiding place for clutter when we have to speed clean. They get neglected and can hold the same, unworn clothing for decades. Well, it is time to clean that closet. It not only needs to be cleaned, but a system needs to be put in place to give you the extra room that you need to keep it organized.

Start by emptying the closet. Keep only what you really like to wear. After you thin the herd, you can begin to organize your clothes. Remember, the goal here is to create even more space than you actually need. This way, as time goes by and new clothing gets added, you do not have to start over. We want a closet that stays organized despite our best efforts to pack it full.

Now, you could spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on a custom closet system. If you can afford it, it’s not a bad idea. But, for those of us looking for a quick fix for a long-term problem, we may want to look at some more cost-effective options.

The best closet trick in the book is to utilize the many specialty hangers that are on the market today. Hanger designs have made it possible to double or even triple the space in our closets. These special hangers used to only be available to stores and high end retailers. But, thanks to the internet, we can order luxury shirt hangers, skirt hangers, pants hangers, space saving hangers, slimline hangers, and more! The list goes on and on. But, the point is that you do not have to buy hundreds of one type to order straight from the best manufacturers out there.

So, order yourself some really sturdy hangers. Get all of the different types that you need to really make some space in your closet. Many hangers, like slimline hangers and metal salesman’s hangers, allow you to cascade items from one hanger to another.

For example, you can hang your shirt on a shirt hanger, your pants on a pants hanger, and then adjoin them with a cascading hook. This way, they are not only hung together and ready to wear, but they take up half the space that they did before. Salesman’s hangers have an extended neck to keep the pants or skirt hanging well below the shirt, making even more space. It may not seem like much, but all of the tiny bits of space that you save can add up.

Once your closet it organized with specialty <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Shirt Hangers">shirt hangers, <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Skirt Hangers">skirt hangers and pants hangers, you should have some extra space. Now, every time you put away laundry, your closet will be instantly organized again. When everything has a specific space, you are more likely to keep it there.

Utilizing small shelving, bins, <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Skirt Hangers">skirt hangers and <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Shirt Hangers">shirt hangers, you can quickly get things organized in your home and let your life move along.

Closet organization is a multi-billion dollar industry. But there are a few things you can do yourself that require little or no money. Getting your closets organized is a good way to get your life in order. With clutter and disarray around you, you just feel overwhelmed. That feeling of being pulled in all directions with too many responsibilities to handle can be lessened by getting things in order around the home.

Start by setting a date to do your organizing. Leave the whole day or weekend empty to get things done. You can enlist the help of friends or family. But, if you anticipate having to baby people through the process or constantly needing to stop to take care of things for the family, then arrange for them to be out of the house on your organization day.

Take it one step at a time and don’t think about how much work you’ll have to do. Pull things out of one closet and start by getting rid of what you don’t need. Giving clothes to charity or friends is like having a heavy weight lifted. Get the clutter out and feel the difference in your mood and energy. If you’re not sure about whether you can let go of something, consider storing it somewhere other than your closet. You can keep sentimental items with your out of season clothing. Another option is to simply turn the hanger around backwards. If that hanger stays backwards for more than a year, then you know that you should get rid of it.

Now is the time to get things moving. Without building a lot of shelves or installing drawers, you can still make space. Hooks and over the door organizers are popular. A small shelf on the floor can double your shoe storage space and eliminate that giant shoe pile that haunts you. Consider a wooden chest outside of the closet for storing boots and other bulky shoes that you don’t wear often.

Another trick is to get a 12” wide board and cut it into triangles. Install triangle shelves in the front corners of your closet to give yourself endless areas for little things like dress shoes, jewelry, camera bags and more. Use small bins and baskets to keep things in their place. Crates can be used for things like crafts, linens, socks and underwear to keep them out of sight, yet organized.

The last step is to purchase some matching specialty hangers. Shirt hangers, <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Skirt Hangers">skirt hangers, pants hangers and dress hangers can keep things from becoming crammed or ending up on the floor.

These are all inexpensive options. Utilizing small shelving, bins, skirt hangers and <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Shirt Hangers">shirt hangers, you can quickly get things organized in your home and let your life move along.

Use specialty hangers, like <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Shirt Hangers">shirt hangers, along with these easy tips to get your closet organized.

Do you dread opening your closet door? Is everything crammed in from top to bottom, but you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a closet organization system? Never fear, help is just a few dollars away. Specialty hangers can double the space in your closet, instantly!

First things first, get rid of old shoes and clothes that you haven’t worn in a while. The golden rule of closet organization is, “If you haven’t worn it in a year, get rid of it.” Just grab a few garbage bags and start filling them up. Try not to think about it too hard or you’ll end up keeping too much. Some people keep things in their closets for decades because it’s “still good” or “barely worn”. Do you really need to fill up the space that you use every day with things that are just stored? Probably not.

If you have a lot of things that are still good or barely worn, go ahead and have a garage sale or take them to a consignment shop. Sometimes it’s easier to get rid of things if there is money involved! Or, have a swap party with some friends. Everyone can bring over usable items and have a big trade. Purses, hats, belts and shoes may be old junk to one person and a treasured find for another. Another option is to give everything you can to charity. Use the donation as a tax deduction and a feather in your good karma hat.

Clear out other junk as necessary, but your main goal for a quick fix is to get everything off of that crammed up bar. If you hang a lot of shirts and pants, you may be able to move the top shelf up higher. Then, move the hanging bar up higher. Not so high that you can’t reach, but high enough to install a second hanging bar at about hip-height. This plan may not work if you have a lot of dresses, suits and long coats, but if you have a walk-in closet, you may be able to install two bars on one or two walls and keep one bar by itself for longer hanging items.

Use specialty hangers to save even more space. <a href="http://www.closethangerfactory.com"title="Skirt Hangers">Skirt hangerscan hold many skirts flat on one hanger. Pants hangers keep pants from wrinkling while keeping them easily accessible. Dress hangers keep your dresses from slipping off on to the floor. Cascading hooks can be used to pair up tops and bottoms, saving room by using the space of one hanger on the bar. Choosing the right hangers and accessories can keep your closet organized and spacious.
